Our First Lost

Well, Sable's team suffered their first loss this morning.... Sable played goalie the whole game. She did pretty well until the other team would have a penalty kick and Sable's team of boys would break their "wall" not wanting to get hit---- boys -- what can you say?

Well, they have the sheetrock done on our house and it looks like they will begin plastering and texturing the beginning of next week... and I have two boxes packed! We have started on some "cleaning house" as far as getting rid of stuff we don't need... between Sable and Brandon I can't get rid of nothing!

We go to the doctor on Thursday for a checkup. We will be 32 & 1/2 weeks, or 65 days, or however you want to word it... MY terminology is fat, swollen, and grumpy-- let's get this show on the road! HA-- just kidding but we are getting there!

My 5 Year Old Explains Where Babies Come From...

Okay-- you try to keep your children sheltered, keep them from the evils of the world, and from knowing too much of what they shouldn't - - Brandon and I have semi-failed. Sable demonstrated by grabbing me - where this baby (Colby) will come out but thinks that Colby originated from China. How do you clarify that one??? Boy, kids are funny. I have a feeling she is going to give us a run for our money.

Brandon, still trying to get the girlie girlness out of her system, told her to get ready at soccer practice the other night -- she was playing goalie. He told her to put her hands out. I couldn't tell if she was begging for hand outs or what-- she didn't quite get the concept of "getting ready".
We are definitely beginning the stages of "drama queen". She asked if she could do something the other day and I told her she would have to wait until I unpacked all the groceries. Of course here it comes, the arms crossed, the pouty look, we have even matured to laying down and tears. I told her she could wait or she could choose to help me. Her response was, "But I picked it all out". Wow! We also had to fill out Valentine's Day cards the other day. We were going down her class list, Malik-check, Nicole-check, Brittney -- all of the sudden Sable stopped and she said, "Mom, Brittney was not nice to me today so I am not going to give her one." --- So what do you say to that?

The Erdmier's have been pretty busy besides Drama Queen1 (Sable) and Drama Queen2 (Brandon). Drama Queen2 says he is giving up "cleaning" for lent. Funny thing is he doesn't clean and even funnier he doesn't know why you celebrate lent. Brandon had to play mommy today and take Sable to her soccer game, provide snacks, then take her to a girl birthday party. I think it's good for him, keeps him honest.

The house is moving right along.... we have brick, electrical wiring, & showers and tubs.... it won't be long. Sheetrock should go up this week. I probably should start packing, but...
So for now life is running along and good as always. We look forward to the next couple of months of havoc.... otherwise what fun would it be???
