Well, we had our first soccer game this weekend -- Fun! Fun! Fun! Sable is one of the tallest ones out there and one of a hand full of girls. Even though you swear you will not be one of "those parents" it's kind of hard not to. I do have to say I stayed in my seat, daddy Erdmier stood next to the out of bound lines down by the goalie just in case he was needed or to give Sable some words of advise. One has to think, "Does this forecast what we will be like down the road?" Of course I have to be honest if Sable looked at me I gave her the look and pointed my finger down the court for her to get going! She saved three goals while she was playing goalie-- kicked them right out of there! Go Girl!
After the game she said the boys wouldn't let her kick the ball. Of course Daddy Erdmier says, "Just run them over" -- I am waiting for the day we get the call from the principal that Sable "Ran the boys over" or "Kicked them in the shins." Daddy will definitely be a part of that conference.
Of course we are trying to bring out the competitor in our child, Brandon keeps telling her, "Kill, kill, kill!" before practice and games. But after the game the coach tried to give her high five --- Sable hugged him instead. So it may take some time to get the girlie girl out, we did manage to leave the baby doll at home-- will keep you posted!

Managing a thiry-year old - 28 week old fetus - & a 5 yr old going on 14.
Well, life's been busy at the Erdmier house. Sable starts soccer this week. Her first practice is Thursday and first game on Saturday. Brandon is bewildered that they will have a game so quick - with only one practice and my mother wonders if Sable will be a "sweeper" or will be on offense or defense. Right now mommy is hoping that we don't pick up the ball with our hands and run to the corner because someone might take it away. We did get the outfit right! except for the fact they are trying to turn my daughter into an aggie with the maroon and white-- yuck!
Colby already has a mind of his own and has perceded to try to make life interesting. We began having contractions, not just braxton hicks, but contractions this weekend. I think he just wants it known that he is coming and yes, he will turn our world upside down -- me and Brandon can't wait! We did a lot of shopping for him this weekend just in case he doesn't stay on schedule -- blue, blue, blue, and more blue. I don't know if I can get used to the idea. I am used to looking a frilly things with pink!
Brandon has been awesome in this pursuit towards fatherhood/childbirth for the second time around. I know it is amazing to some of you that we made it this far... but when you have someone as stubborn as him and someone that is always right like me-- you'll have your problems/issues but will forge ahead and make something beautiful.... and interesting.
While at dinner with a friend this weekend he mentioned his ex-wife a few times (not in a very nice way) I told Brandon later, thank you... thank you that we worked everything out. That could have been you (Brandon) at dinner talking about me (jessica) as your ex. Of course you would probably be with your next girlfriend that looked just like me but hey. Brandon got a big kick out of that!
We are hoping to get concrete poured this week on the house. If the weather holds up and everything goes according to schedule we might be in before Sable's birthday-- but we aren't holding our breath. When it's ready, it will be ready. Until then we will continue to stockpile our apartment with diapers, lawn equipment, and whatever else we think we need....

They Grow Up So Fast!!

Well here is the beginning of my blog. I typically dislike the whole idea of a blog but thought about how bad I am at taking pictures and calling others that I better find some way for my family and friends to see my two gifts from God, I mean three gifts from God, Sable, Colby, & Brandon.
Sable, well, she is growing like a weed. She lets everyone know she will be six in a few short months - going on 14. I never knew dressing her up all the time as a baby would result in the clothes monster / drama queen I have now. So if you see someone throwing dirt on their child it is me trying to get her to not worry about getting dirty or wrinkled. Hopefully the soccer league she begins in a month will help and T-Ball is to follow. She is doing great in school, tries to spell everything-- of course it makes secrets and surprises a little harder to discuss because we can't spell it!
And Colby -- yes it is still Colby Thomas Erdmier -- is now 2.1lbs with an arrival date of April 15th. Everything is looking good and I am sure he will wait until we get into our new house to arrive-- yeah right-- if he is anything like his daddy labor will begin in the moving van and we won't even make it to the hospital. I seriously don't know what to do with a boy-- guess I will find out!
That is all I have for now on my youngest Erdmier Children. Brandon can wait for another day. I hope this helps keep my family informed of the Erdmier kids!
