Yeah, Yeah, I have gotten behind

So I know you have all noticed I am a week behind on my latest blog -- been a little crazy down this way. We have MOVED! Well, not only have we moved, but we are all unpacked & decorated! Pretty amazing huh? And after all that - Colby is still snug as a bug in a rug.

The house is great! We moved in on Monday, the 17th-- in the rain. Mucho thanks to all those who helped- -couldn't have done it without you! Brandon's mom flew down on Wednesday and was a work horse helping me get stuff done! She decorated Sable's room to a tee--- Sable brought in one of her new friends, a boy, and said, "My room is better than yours". So much for meeting the neighbors! We have met some of the the neighbors though and they are great-- of course there is always one obnoxious one--

We also had a little birthday party for Sable - mostly family. She got spoiled rotten as always -- thank you all for the gifts...

We also had a doctor's appointment this morning. And of course like every pregnant woman, they just know their baby is coming early..... yeah, whatever. Colby is now 6.2 lbs - head down - and snug as a bug. There was no talk of dilation, or thinning, or anything. I wanted to cry. His head is big though -- about 2 weeks ahead of the rest of this body. My grandma says this is heritary in my family -- kind of makes you want to look in the mirror if you are a family member huh? So next week we go back and we will go ahead and schedule an induction around the 15th and pray -- please pray it is before then.... if it is another 3 weeks this baby will be huge!

Snow, Rain, Contractions

Snow & Rain are delaying us right now on our house... we've had great weather up until the last week-- now it has snowed twice and rained last night. Fun! Fun! Everything looks great though, just a mud arena outside. But it will happen-- probably later than sooner now.

Baby Colby has decided to start some trouble already. We had contractions this past weekend and were so close to a hospital visit last night -- until my thoughts of having Sable in a hospital until after midnight.... trying to get into the doctor's this morning to find out what the story is... will keep everyone informed.

Sable won her Soccer game on Saturday -- at 7:30 in the morning! So they get a bye for the first round of the championship tournament next weekend and only have to win 2 games to win the championship -- Very exciting! She really got after this weekend - even though the early hours.
She has a new song-- "I am ready for baby Colby to come out" la la la. ---Me too, sister! Yesterday we went to a crawfish boil (don't worry I stayed clear of the mercury bowl) -- Sable had on these jeans and her cowgirl boots. Her legs looked about ten miles long -- so all you family with long legs -- thanks!

The other night Brandon was on the phone calling on some tires for his truck. Sable was nearby, of course listening in to what Brandon was saying. He told the guy "I am balder than balder" of course referring to his tires. Sable chirps in "He sure is -- he is balder than balder" talking about his head--- it was such a moment wish you all could have been there.

She is growing up so fast with a birthday just around the corner. Of course she reminds us everyday -- We will keep you posted on birthday plans --- it matters where we are (if the house gets finished) and how many of us there are (if baby Colby makes his debut!)

Will keep you posted!!!!

March Madness

Well, March is here - and a crazy month it is! Sable won her soccer game on Saturday -- YOU GO GIRL! She has become quite the goalie-- of course we had issues with our hair because it kept getting caught in the net! She has one more game 7:30AM this Saturday and then next Saturday the 15th she has a tournament all day long. Of course that is the weekend we are suppose to be moving! It snowed last night so a couple of things have been delayed on the house but it is still suppose to close next week.
Brandon did some painting this weekend to avoid painting conflicts once we move in--so Sable and I went out there on Sunday to help tape everything off. Well, Sable REALLY wanted to help so what harm could a almost 6 year old and a roll of tape get into. By the time I thought to check on her, I was surprised to find she had managed to tape off all the baseboards in the living room, the bedroom, the hall, the other hall... and so on and so on. It wouldn't have been so bad except she did it with 1 inch long pieces of tape..... There was little pieces of tape everywhere! But she did help! She also managed to inform Brandon and I of all the things she plans on teaching "her baby brother" she calls him.
1. She is going to teach him to walk.
2. She is going to teach him not to chew on her toys like her aunt KK did.
3. She is going to teach him to be nice.
You know... all the important things in life.
Sable also mentioned last night -- kids are so smart - what does "matter" mean? I thought for a minute-- hmmmm. Well, she had an answer. "Mommy, matter means your family, you love your family-- that's what matters. So how can you get upset about the tape with that kind of answer. The real question is where did she learn it? from her mother and father or that commercial she has memorized with bailey's liquor --" My family are my friends and my friends are my family". Whichever she has got it right.
Well, hopefully I can keep everyone informed over the next couple of weeks -- with Sable's birthday, Easter, moving, Brandon's mom coming for a visit, soccer, oh-- and a baby-- so we shall see!
